For those who haven’t got to grips with you yet – please introduce yourselves:

Hello we’re Row, Andy, Tom, Nath and Ry. We’re a psyche Indie band from Portsmouth.

How did you all meet and what is it you saw in each other to decide to start a band?

Between us we either met in school, college or are related to each other, the Kassassin Street history spans many years. More often than not we used to socialise with instruments, just making noise and messing’ around, the desire to play is probably what we saw in each other.

What do you see as being your biggest challenges ahead as a band?

We really want to play more in Europe, but Andy is afraid of planes, boats, trains, cars, and swimming. We don’t want to stress the lad!

What have been your highlights as a band so far?

We were on tour in December and that was great, more than ever we’re seeing people at our shows that say they’d brought tickets because they caught our set at a festival or caught a tune on the radio. That’s a real buzz.

Saying that . . . Apparently one our songs was used in ‘Emmerdale’ not too long ago, that might actually take the biscuit.

What do you do to ease the boredom of long journeys for gigs?

We collectively count to the highest number we can think of. Kills a few days.

What are your pre-show rituals?

We usually forget who had the set lists, and then try and find them or write new ones.
