It’s no big secret, if you’re a long time reader of Popped, that I’m a huge fan of Banners and well as soon as I saw he had shared an acoustic version of his new single Someone To You, it was getting a space on this blog immediately.
With a true talent at formulating incredibly infectious music with real heart Banners here brings a bit of a stomp to the party in Someone To You. His vocal less fragile and more punchy than in my favourite of his songs, this is a track with real meat on its bones. It is, admittedly, his high range and fragility that I love best but his mastering of song-writing is in force as much as ever here and I do love it so, it still calls to my heart as much as it does to my ears.
