The first few times I heard Heavenly War, the new one from Sea Girls, I was a tiny bit nonplussed to be honest. Then every time it came on my playlist I found that I was wanting more, I found I was humming it all the time, tapping it out. It’s become one of my favourite tracks so far of 2018. When I think about those first few listens I wonder why on earth it didn’t grab me straight away, after all it has all the required elements I love; It’s bouncy of pace, it has a defined bass lines that dance around, a killer chorus that builds into a good old dance around tune and the break down that lets you catch your breath before building back up into twirling around the room singing along at full volume.
Heavenly War is taken from the band’s recent debut EP of the same name and is out right now.
