Just Listen: Xam Volo – Dark Teeth

Xam Volo

Words: Rob Connor

Hot on the heels of his support slot on Paloma Faiths nationwide tour, comes Xam Volo with his newest track Dark Teeth.

If you haven’t heard Xam Volo before, this is a great place to jump in. Dark teeth is a brassy, sassy but always classy, slice of  Xam’s distinctive jazz infused neo-soul sound, which, showcases his velvet vocals and mature writing style.
His effortless vocal initially dances lightly between the catchy hook before unfurling into a sonic dreamscape.
“Fame, you wanna tear it all down” he sings, yet his is a star that is only set to rise, and do so rapidly. Dark Teeth is bound to be a track which brings plenty of broad smiles when it is released as part of his A Damn Fine Spectacle E.P. on April 13 so give your ears a treat.

April 11th – OMEARA, London
