Just Listen: The Old Pink House – Jaded

Jaded

Words: Samantha Sadler

Cosmic-pop The Old Pink House are arguably one of the most talked about acts on the North East indie music scene at the minute. Vintage-stained psychedelic instrumentals and eloquent lyrics dominate previous tracks from the quartet and I’m pleased to see they’re sticking with this in their forthcoming EP.

Latest single Jaded is an injection of 80s inspired synths sashaying through funky riffs laden with confidence. Catchy lyrics and a foot-stomping beat are certain to have you rushing to hit the repeat button as frontman Christopher Brown exclaims “take me places I don’t want to go.”

A breath of fresh air in the crowded indie music scene – I’m a big fan of these guys and can’t wait to hear what they’ll do next…
