Just Listen: A Festival, A Parade – Cold Shower

Cold Shower

Newcastle alt-rockers A Festival, A Parade have recently released their new single Cold Shower and if you’re looking for something rebellious, you’re going to love this.

Immediately kicking off with raw, piercing riffs and crashing drums, Cold Shower immediately reminds me of the opening of The National’s Turtleneck meets Biffy Clyro. A pulsating, gloomy bassline snakes through the raucous instrumental as a nonchalant echo from frontman Joe Allan insists he’ll “never make the same mistake again.”

Chaotic, grungey and glittered with heavy rock influences, Cold Shower is a nod to vintage post-punk and boasting percussion explosions in abundance.

Cold Shower is the first single to be taken from A Festival, A Parade’s forthcoming EP Stay Away With Me that’s due in the Autumn. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on these guys...
