Just Listen: Marsicans – Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend)

Marsicans – Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend)

Words: Samantha Sadler

I’m a huge fan of Marsicans so I was really excited when their new track Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend) landed in my inbox.

The Leeds quartet have been turning heads on the indie-pop scene over the past year with their catchy lyrics and breezy instrumentals, easily securing themselves as one of the most exciting acts of 2018.

A perfect soundtrack for this week especially, given the glorious weather we have across the UK, Pop-Ups (Sunny at the Weekend) is an epic anthem packed with melodic riffs and explosive choruses.

Continuing in the same vein as previous singles, Too Good and Throw Ourselves In, a rocky indie undertone bleeds through poptastic soundscapes as frontman James cries “it’ll always be sunny at the weekend.”

Marsicans have definitely knocked it out of the park again with this one and really can’t wait to hear what they come up with next.  If you love Marsicans as much as I do, you won’t want to miss them storming the festival circuit this summer. Check them out at the dates below.
