Just Listen: BANFI – The Furniture Song

BANFI – The Furniture Song

Words: Georgia-Mae Blackman

It’s not often an all male band sing about their awkward persona, but BANFI know how to talk about it by turning an awful situation into a lighter one. ‘The Furniture Song’ is anything but awkward, it’s a track which holds a lot of personality and happiness and believe it or not, despise this song about feeling like an outcast at a party, I’d still get up and dance to it.

It’s full of funky electronic beats with an intoxicatingly, brilliant riff to match the silky-smooth vocals. Whilst it is slightly emotional, it’s a clever masterpiece that puts them at the forefront of indie-pop music right now. It’s very relatable and that’s what makes me love this tune just that little bit more.
