Marsicans – Your Eyes

I don’t write reviews so much anymore – you’d know why if you saw the state of my inbox, but just as I was about to have to stick matchsticks in my eyes to keep them open I spotted Marsicans new single Your Eyes was waiting in my inbox….

“Hoping I’m a sponge, notoriously porous”

Lyrics. I’m a BIG fan of quirky lyrics… I mean, I’m a Charlatans fan and Tim Burgess is (in my eyes, excuse the pun), one of the best for quirk. Then along comes Marsicans, like a band that manages to roll up so much from some my favourite bands…. from early doors Maccabees, Wombats and Good Shoes (remember them?). Fun, energetic… and quirky! Your Eyes has all the ingredients and I can’t imagine a day when I fall out of love with Marsicans. They spark something in me and I can’t get enough.
