For those of you have followed Popped for some time you will know I’m a huge fan of Seramic, the project of singer-songwriter Marcus Foster. Imagine my delight upon finding he has new music and its in my inbox!
New single Keep On Breaking My Heart is a slice of new-soul and brings a delicate new flavour to Marcus’ collection of work which spans blues through to soul and jazz with some interesting fresh new ideas. This piece is more simple in terms of its arrangement and texture but its the simplicity which allows for the vocal to stand out. The soft gravelly caress through to the sharp notes showing off quite the impressive range.
There’s a closeness that can be found between listener and performer with a track such a this. Keep On Breaking My Heart will resonate with its beautifully penned lyrics and will capture the hearts and attention of many.
