JUST LISTEN: Swimming Tapes – Keep Her Closer

Swimming Tapes – Keep Her Closer

Words: Lauren Mellor

With summer on its way, it’s great finding some proper seasonal indie tunes and that’s exactly what Swimming Tapes’ Keep Her Closer provides.

With a light-hearted melody and beautifully written lyrics about young romance, Swimming Tapes give me nostalgic feels of The Drums – something I feel is lacking in my current music listening.

Swimming Tapes are an indie-five piece harking from East London and have a classic indie vibe to their music. Having recently just played some Northern Festivals, these guys are about to release their debut album on the 24th May with Keep Her Closer being their third single from Morningside.

With the release of the album imminent and a headline tour announcement in the works, I’m excited to hear more from Swimming Tapes and hopefully catch them live sometime soon.
