Just Listen: Half Moon Run – Then Again

Half Moon Run – Then Again

Words: Clare Hingley

Half Moon Run are certainly back with a bang after sharing their latest single Then Again after being away from the music release scene since 2015.

This four-piece from Canada’s Montreal have mixed it up with a string quartet which really sets of the single. Feels of heavy guitar riffs entwined with perfected drumming in places bring this song together.

The initiative of producer Joe Chiccarelli works wonders giving this song different vibes. The direction of the music switches from one sound to another, at times it feels like you are listening to four various songs but at the same time. However, with the assistance of Chiccarelli it comes together and you get an understanding of where the song is coming from.

Half Moon Run are playing at the Electric Brixton in November which is already a sell out, but if you’re quick you can still catch Devon, Isaac, Conner and Dylan rocking in either Manchester, Glasgow or Bristol. Check out tickets here.
