Just Listen: Amber Run – The Darkness Has A Voice

Amber Run – The Darkness Has A Voice

Words: Clare Hingley

Amber Run have just released the fourth single The Darkness Has A Voice from their impending album Philophobia and from the off this song has major Travis vibes with lead singer Joe Keogh resembling Fran Healy aswell as the overall melody.

Keogh has previously mentioned The Darkness Has A Voice is a tune that “is about that internal connection”. A trait that is carried on throughout the new album and connection and relationships is what it’s all about.

The chilled guitar continues throughout with the drums giving it a more upbeat rock sound. The chorus to this Amber Run song is surely going to be a sing-along. There is no doubt this will be a big hit with the fans.

You can catch Amber Run on their UK tour next month, before they venture to the States, starting in Manchester on the 4th October and finishing at the Roundtree in London on the 19th.
