Just Listen: Bad Sounds – Permanent

Permanent

Words by Amy Butcher

My first experience with Bad Sounds was a couple of years ago when their track ‘Are You High?’ came on shuffled by Spotify during my commute to work and I haven’t looked back since!  As soon as I knew they were releasing their EP Escaping from a Violent Time, Vol. 1, I was counting down the days until it’s release.

Upon hearing the five tracks, Permanent really stuck out for me. Opening with twinkling melodies, the soothing vocals kickstart the song with the funky bass lines and effortless drum patterns. It’s right where the chorus starts that I really got addicted to this track – anyone who listens to this song will find themselves singing the catchy “I’m permanent, I’m permanently me”.

Hats off to Bad Sounds, they always know how to make the perfect melodious, riotous bops.
