In response to her 2019 EP release Maisie Peters has returned with what I would say is her best track as of yet.  The title of Maisie’s latest single, Sad Girl Summer, suggests her usual emotional ballad style track that will tug on your heart strings, but Sad Girl Summer is actually the opposite of that.

With repeated advice for a break up it seems to be addressed to all the other heartbroken gals out there listening, with the trusty suggestion take my hand and lose his number – you don’t have to have another sad girl summer being repeated throughout making for a catchy pop, rhythmic chorus to sing along to.
