Talkboy are big favourites at Popped Music, and unsurprisingly Stupid Luck has only worked to cement that feeling.

Whilst the opening note of Stupid Luck made me think of If You Tolerate This… the rest of the track is pure Talkboy.  Laidback, sweet, crystal clear and so cool.  There is more than a hint of California in the harmonies and melodies on offer too.  Stupid Luck is a song for hitting the beach and making the most of whatever life offers you.

Without a doubt, Talkboy are a band that we are only going to love more and more as the years go on. And if they keep releasing songs that sound like they could be covers of The Beach Boys, it’s only going to make more people love them.
