Just Listen: Courting – Grand National

Courting

Grand National

Words: Gary Lambert

With their latest release, Grand National, Courting have once again proven themselves to be one of the most exciting young bands in the UK.

Grand National is a great example of how a raw band can progress, improve and grow without changing what made them exciting in the first place.  Nothing within the three and a half minutes should surprise you if you have listened to the likes of Football and Not Yr Man, but now Courting have taken it to a new level.

With a nod to the likes of Sports Team in how the band have cemented the sound of joy in their critiques of humanity, Courting have produced an anthem that I love.
