Just Listen: Natalie McCool – Oh Danger

Natalie McCool

Listen to Oh Danger here:

natalie mccoolNatalie McCool returns following her magnificent Pins single with Oh Danger. Just as with Pins, there’s a definite play with the space in the sound and it’s all given an additional edge, with the almost staccato disjointedness of parts of the vocal melody. It’s a track that uses everything it can to haunt; there’s a sweetness that so quickly turns to darkness. Harmonies and slithers of guitar that first stab the soundscape then build to cement it further, contribute to the unease – a perfect accompaniment to the lyrics.
