The Van T’s – Fun Garçon

The Van T’s

Words: Gary Feeney

the van t'sIt’s only been a few months since they released their Coming Of Age E.P., so it was a very pleasant surprise indeed when the Van T’s unveiled another brand-new track in the shape of Fun Garçon.

Opening with a ferocious rush of guitars, the raw power of the introduction is offset by the unusual vocal stylings of twins Hannah and Chloe van Thompson which seem to drift over the surface in an almost dream-like state before injecting just the tiniest bit of spit and snarl in the choruses to make them soar. Along with the trademark chorus/reverb-soaked lead guitar lines which add a real depth to the track, Fun Garçon is the sound of a band growing in confidence and swagger – 2016 has been a very good year for the Van T’s and on this evidence, next year is going to be a great one.
