With their long-awaited debut album One Night Stand Forever due next month, WHITE have released the eponymous track as their latest single and it is, in the parlance of today’s youth, an absolute banger.
A feature of the band’s live set for some time now, One Night Stand Forever is a heady mix of pulsing synth rhythms, driving basslines and razor-sharp guitar parts that slice their way across the track, underpinning a typically evocative vocal delivery from Leo Condie. As stylish and powerful as any of their other releases to date, the lyrics dispense with the subtle sensuality that lurks under the surface of most WHITE songs and go straight for top-shelf territory, from the very title to the refrain of “love yourself, touch yourself”, adding an extra edge to the musical energy.
We’ve been telling you for a long time about how good WHITE are, of course, but One Night Stand Forever is yet further evidence of their quality and underlines the forthcoming album’s potential to be the best debut in years.
