When Editor Elena emailed about this track, she said ‘Pip Hall is amazing’. And you know what, she is. I’m ashamed to say that she’s a new name to me, but one that I’ll be keeping an eye out for especially as her debut album is due this summer.
Described as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging talents, her latest single, Fire, is released via My Little Empire Records and I suggest you check it out because it’s brilliant. It’s poppy, but it’s also quite dark. Pip says of Fire – “I’m my own worst enemy and often find myself battling my own thoughts and criticising myself for the most insignificant things.” Well, there’s no
criticising from me, she is a very special talent, along the lines of Florence Welsh and Marika Hackman.
