One of the best things about summer, aside from the glorious weather, is the multitude of sun-kissed tracks that sprawl out across the season. I’m not talking about the huge dance anthems – I’m referring to those breezy, mellow tunes that are the perfect soundtrack for driving along dusty roads.
Luckily, Our Girl have delivered just that in new single I Really Like It. A coy love song with the opening lyrics “I like living in your world” immediately lifts spirits whilst you’re treated to an exposed, delicate bass before steady drumming kicks in.
The chorus brings it up a notch, but not too much, maintaining a hazy vibe throughout with a dreamy instrumental that vocalist Soph Nathan croons over with “I really like it, I really like you.”
A summery love song that’s going at the top of my playlist.
