Indie-pop outfit Fond of Rudy are back with new single Imagination and it’s oozing with nostalgia and 80s dance vibes. The four-piece had a busy 2017 after picking up support from BBC Introducing London and Amazing Radio with their previous singles To Be Mine and Say Something and they are back on the festival circuit this year with Lowde Festival and GO! Organic Festival on the agenda.
Their new track Imagination opens with glittery, cosmic vocals that lead into an 80s pop dream. Upbeat catchy hooks bounce around twinkling synths and it’s definitely one that puts a smile on your face with its cheerful melodies.
Delving into the background behind the lyrics, the band say “the song represents the feeling of trying to show someone that as a two, you are compatible, you work well together – but you fear they might be playing games.
A delightful sunny pop track that’s perfect for the summer.
