Just Listen: Chlöe Howl – Work

Chlöe Howl – Work

Words: Nick Bewes

Chlöe Howl is a name that has been on my radar for a good few years now.

She released her debut EP back in 2013 and was nominated for the BBC Sound of 2014 and for the Brits Critics Choice the same year, losing out to Sam Smith, whoever he is!

Fast forward to 2017 and after a three-year break, she released the amazing singles ‘Magnetic’ and ‘Do It Alone’ which were both fine slices of pop music.

Now she returns with ‘Work’, another fine example of sophisticated pop, which should be all over the radio if there was any justice.

It was produced by long-time collaborator Chris Zane and shows off Howl’s amazing voice – I can’t wait to hear the album that she is currently working on.
