On the latest offering of Rozi’s upcoming album ‘What A Boost!’ she continues to tug our strings and leads us to nod our heads in admiration. We have the gently swaying rhythms of ‘Conditions’ to lose our weary souls in.
This further justifies the attention which Rozi has been accumulating over the past month or so, for example she recently recorded a session with Marc Riley on his Radio BBC 6 show.
The beauty in her material, particularly her latest releases, is that they have the ability to convey so many subtle off-kilter and whimsical moments. The tone of her voice is one full of warmth yet also has a restrained yet intriguing delivery. The patterns of the shimmering guitars weaving in and out of the ever-present drum fills are done admirably too. For the listener, there is something quietly joyful as her music has a insular quality to it.
This is definitely a song to get lost in whilst the chilly winter rolls on.
