JUST LISTEN: Callum Pitt – Here If You Need

Callum Pitt – Here If You Need

Words: Sammy Sadler

I’ve been keeping my eye on Callum Pitt since I fell in love with his last single Forgotten Kids so I was really excited to hear he was releasing a new single so soon after.

Latest track Here If You Need is much more delicate than Forgotten Kids, opting for a Lumineers vibe rather than Foster the People. Tackling the issue of depression, Here If You Need brings together gorgeous lyrics and Americana folk to really hit home as Pitt croons “I’m here if you need.” Opening on gentle keys, the track soon flows into soaring choruses glittered with mellifluous harmonies which sound lush.

I’ve noticed more musicians talking about mental health in their music and it’s so refreshing to see, especially when it’s as beautiful as Callum Pitt’s take.

You can catch Callum Pitt at his debut EP release at Star and Shadow on 14th June. Tickets are available here.
