Just Listen: Skinny Living – Let Go

Skinny Living – Let Go

Words: Nick Bewes

Apparently we need to save guitar music from extinction! That’s what some have been saying.

However in my experience, I don’t think we need to worry and just enjoy the the brilliant guitar music is released every week. Like this fine new single from Wakefield’s Skinny Living.

Let Go is out on Polydor and is the first track from their new EP which will be released in the summer. The band say they write music that naturally taps into the everyday emotion of life, songs about “family, people, life, struggle”, and this is a great example. It’s melodic but with just enough edge to lift it above being run of the mill.

I defy anyone to listen to this and not have the chorus running around your head for hours.
