Just listen: Marsicans – Little Things

Marsicans – Little Things

Words: Amy Butcher

As some of you may know, we are big fans of Marsicans here at Popped Music and when I heard they were releasing new single Little Things, I just couldn’t contain my excitement. Having already played festivals such as The Great Escape, Live At Leeds and more recently London’s Bushstock, as well as supporting Foals in Hamburg; it’s safe to say 2019 is a fun, jam-packed year for Marsicans.

Opening with punchy guitar and dulcet harmonies, as a listener you’re immediately hit with the profound sound this band are offering. Groovy bass lines, hard hitting drum beats and effortless guitar melodies are layered throughout the track and I’m reminded of why I love this band’s music so much. They bring a raw passion and sense of joy within their sound, but at the same time pack a punch through their lyrical and musical abilities, creating a perfect sweet-sounding mesh of music.

I’m thoroughly impressed with Little Things with all it has to offer, and the sheer talent this band possesses shines out from every song they produce. With their biggest headline show at Stylus in Leeds just announced, Marsicans are truly coming into their own for 2019 and I can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us.
