Just Listen: Kashmere – Lucid

Kashmere – Lucid

Words: Clare Hingley

Stockport quartet Kashmere are back with a bang and they have come along way from their debut track in 2016 with Blow Your Mind. Furthermore, Lucid is the latest single from Joey, Freddie, Charlie and Andy that strikes with chilled vibes but with a twist of poppy melodies thrown in.

The band have previously described their sound as “electro indie doom pop” and this song lives up to that. A synth-pop sound draws you to this regression of a double take to the 80’s in both sound and image. It’s a calming yet, uplifting anthem that is bound to get you moving. Newey has a soothing voice that just tranquillises and fit the song perfectly helped along by the rest of the band.

One to look out for in the near future, they are currently on tour and if you get the chance to see them, you won’t be disappointed, go check them out.
