Just Listen: The Big Moon – It’s Easy Then

The Big Moon – It’s Easy Then

Words: Amy Butcher

With the success of their debut album Love In The 4th Dimension (it made the Mercury Prize shortlist!), I couldn’t have been more excited to learn The Big Moon were releasing new music.

What would they offer next with their new music and how would their sound have developed since the album’s release? After a 2 year hiatus, The Big Moon have graced us with their latest single It’s Easy Then, I couldn’t be happier!

Slow dreamy synths, soft soothing vocals and intricate melodies open this track. Building into a groovy, melancholic chorus, and even after one listen you’re singing along with the ‘yeahs’.

I’m really impressed with what The Big Moon have brought it the table with It’s Easy Then. It’s a refreshingly less guitar driven focus, but still has the familiar songwriting and structure of The Big Moon.
