Just Listen: October Drift – Forever Whatever

October Drift – Forever Whatever

Words: Amy Butcher

After falling in love with their last single ‘Losing My Touch’, you can imagine my excitement when October Drift unveiled they were releasing their debut album AND the title track of the album ‘Forever Whatever’. From the lyrics to the melody, this single has a finessed mesh of guitar riffs, gutsy bass lines, and the resonating vocals of singer Kiran; I feel like I’m transported into a warp of modern Biffy Clyro in the chorus and grungy melancholic 90s melodies in the verses, and it’s fantastic.

October Drift have definitely put a stamp on the music scene with their sound – it’s refreshing, poignant, and just so damn good. If you haven’t listened to this single yet, do it now and if you’ve never listened to the band before, you’re missing one of best upcoming bands to watch in the future.
