Electric Enemy – Save Me
Words: Amy Butcher
Opening with melancholic guitar melodies and singer Jim’s impressive vocals, Electric Enemy have returned with another fantastic single following debut ‘Climb’. What I like about the four-piece is how they bring together addictive, finessed melodies with impactful lyrics and ‘Save Me’ is a prime example.
Speaking on the track, the band say: “Save Me is about expressing what the majority of people in the world feel and letting everyone know (especially myself!) that you are NOT crazy. We all want peace and to live on a planet which isn’t run by a select group, who often seem to be untouchable. Maybe we can create a world together which we all want to live in and which celebrates life in every form. By saying ‘Save Me‘ we can begin to fix the problems around us communally, so in essence, we can save each other.”
With powerful heavy guitar riffs and gutsy drum beats, Electric Enemy have really found something great in their sound – I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the London based band over the next couple of years.
