JUST LISTEN: Marsicans – Sunday

Marsicans – Sunday

Words: Sammy Sadler

After moping around the flat for the best part of two weeks due to the new social distancing measures, I’ve been in need of some bloody good music. So it’s with great pleasure that I’ve got something delightful for your eardrums!

Cue the new release from my fave Leeds lads, Marsicans.

Jam-packed with those sparkling summery vibes that get us Marsicans fans swooning, Sunday is that cheerful indie-pop banger that we all really need in our lives at the minute.

With lush harmonies provided by frontman James Newbigging and bassist Rob Brander combined with raucous melodies aplenty, Sunday tells the story of a time the guys spent in Toronto and New York and how much fun they had, but with James’ also missing his girlfriend despite them having the best time in the world. Think of it as two love songs wrapped into one – awww.

Give it a listen and prepare to be obsessed – I promise you’ll have this one stuck in your head for days to come.
