Don’t Make A Scene

Words by Gary Lambert

Cassia, Macclesfield’s answer to Vampire Weekend, have a new release out, Don’t Make A Scene, and once again they’ve found a way to transport you from wherever you are and whatever you are doing to a car driving through the USA lit by a balmy sunset with your best friends alongside you.

It’s magic how Cassia are able to create a sound that has such a natural and organic feel to it when you listen that you think it should be a cover.  Don’t Make A Scene has hints of yacht rock without the excessive tedium, but also could be sung with an acoustic guitar and a beer.

Cassia, musical alchemists who turn notes into rays, and provide the perfect soundtrack for late summer days.
