Just Listen: Haarm – Endangered Species

Haarm

Words: Nick Bewes

When I was listening to the latest track from Liverpool three-piece HAARM, my girlfriend said something very interesting – she couldn’t make any comparisons to any other band. And as always, she’s right! Endangered Species is about learning to treasure and appreciate those who are still with us and not taking anybody for granted, and it really is a wonderful song. The duel vocals from Jen and Chris make this very special. Produced by the legendary Steve Osborne and recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, you get a sense that something very big is just around the corner for this band. And it is. A recent spot at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull. This is one of my favourite tracks of the year and I’ve heard a lot of music.
