Just Listen: Vanity Fairy – Loverman
Vanity Fairy – Loverman
Words: Rachel Allen
Prince and The Bee Gees are just some of the artists that spring to mind when first hearing the falsetto notes and echos of Vanity Fair’s Daisy Capri. She brings a unique and startlingly strange fascination to her vocal in her chilled out, catchy electro-pop track ‘Loverman.’
She sings about playing by her own rules in the track and certainly the feel of the song speaks of her distinctive style and flow in all of its memorable appeal.
This continues in her live performances which unusually lack the feature of a live band, and instead require her to fully express who she is as an artist in that moment through her body and voice, simply backed by a recording.
Surely this enigmatic, idiosyncratic electro-pop queen is one to be watched!
