JUST LISTEN: LIFE – Switching On

LIFE – Switching On

Words: Amy Butcher

Having been socially distancing for over two weeks now, I get so much joy when my favourite bands release new music as it’s something fresh and new in my day to day at home routine. When I heard LIFE had released a new single, I couldn’t wait to hear it!

Following their album A Picture of Good Health, the four-piece from Hull have given us something special in their new single Switching On.

Opening with gritty bass lines and singer Mez’s infamous vocals, you’re given a gut-wrenching intense sound similar to Nine Inch Nails’ Closer – it’s loud, brash and I love it! LIFE always surprise me with the different levels within their music and how their sound has transformed since Popular Music.

If you haven’t had the chance to take a listen, take 3 minutes out of your day to get your ears around this fantastic tune.
